Inside Line Promotions – LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Sept. 19, 2018) – Seth Bergman is hunting for his first career Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour presented by SawBlade.com championship.

He is only 16 points out of the top spot with seven races remaining this season. It’s been the best opportunity to capture a title for Bergman, who has finished in the top 10 of the ASCS National Tour championship standings during each of the last seven years.

This weekend’s challenge is a tripleheader at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Mo., which hosts the 8th annual Jesse Hockett/Daniel McMillin Memorial Thursday through Saturday. Bergman has a top-10 result during the prestigious event in three of the last five years.

“It’s a great event that honors a couple of the greats in sprint car racing,” he said. “There should be a good car count with a lot of talented drivers showing up so we have to be on point every time we hit the track.”

Bergman competed last Saturday during the Ralph Henson Memorial at I-30 Speedway. He opened the ASCS Mid-South Region and ASCS Red River Region by winning a heat race. That earned a spot into the dash and a fifth-place finish in the dash lined him up on the inside of the third row for the A Main. Unfortunately, Bergman’s night ended early with a 15th-place result.

“We put ourselves in a good position early in the night,” he said. “Our focus is now on Lucas Oil Speedway, which has three big races this weekend. That track can get really slick and can be very racy if you have your car right. We need to move forward each time we hit the track and put ourselves in position to contend for the win each night.”

QUICK RESULTS –

Sept. 15 – I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Ark. – Heat race: 1 (2); Dash: 5 (5); Feature: 15 (5).
