Inside Line Promotions – PADUCAH, Ky. (April 30, 2018) – Seth Bergman has taken over the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour presented by SawBlade.com points lead as the series ventures to Central Pennsylvania this weekend.

Bergman and the series will compete on Friday at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pa., and on Saturday at Selinsgrove Speedway in Selinsgrove, Pa., during the Battle of the Groves.

“It’s going to be unique,” he said. “For as long as I’ve been a part of ASCS we haven’t traveled to these parts of the country. It’s always fun and exciting to meet a new challenge. Williams Grove is really historic. It should be exciting and challenging.”

Bergman had a strong outing last Friday at Paducah International Raceway during the most recent Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour race. He finished second in a heat race after starting on the pole. That lined him up on the inside of the seventh row for the A Main.

“You had to be smart, but you had to drive hard,” he said. “I felt like speed-wise in the main event we could have raced for a win if we were in a better starting position. I spent the majority of the race picking and choosing to drive by guys and racing the track. By the time we got in the top five we were short on laps.”

Bergman charged from 13th to a fourth-place finish, which was his eighth top five of the season.

“I felt good about where we were at in the main event after starting as far back as we did,” he said. “When you’re chasing that championship you need to take nights you don’t start out well and turn them into respectable runs.”

Bergman has earned six top fives in his last 11 races, including a pair of victories.
