Inside Line Promotions – ELDON, Mo. (Aug. 15, 2017) – Seth Bergman garnered his 10th podium finish of the season last Saturday at Lake Ozark Speedway.

“We were testing a new engine we just got back from Scott Baylor,” he said. “We wanted to see how it would go. We tried some things we wouldn’t normally do and we learned.”

Bergman maneuvered from eighth to fifth place in a heat race, which lined him up eighth for the main event.

“We continued to play with some things and we fine-tuned on the same thing we had in the heat race,” he said. “We learned some things we didn’t like and it showed us a direction to go in the main event. We got rolling good in the feature. It was a good race. We learned some things and the engine ran strong.”

Bergman charged from eighth to a third-place finish, which marked his third podium in the last six races.

“Any time we show up we race to win,” he said. “Sometimes you sacrifice a little speed when you try things. If you’re not trying to get faster you won’t get faster.”

Bergman is scheduled for a tripleheader this weekend when he will compete on Friday at Heart O’ Texas Speedway in Waco, Texas, with the ASCS Gulf South Region; on Saturday at Lake Ozark Speedway; and on Sunday at Missouri State Fair Speedway in Sedalia, Mo., with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour.
