Inside Line Promotions – BILLINGS, Mont. (July 16, 2014) – Seth Bergman had two very different routes to the same result last weekend.

Despite a high draw both nights, Bergman earned a pair of fourth-place results during the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour’s lone visit to Montana.

The weekend kicked off last Friday at Electric City Speedway in Great Falls, where Bergman started seventh in his heat race.

“We had wet track conditions and I had a good heat,” he said. “Once the track got racy we were all right.”

After placing sixth in his heat race, Bergman rallied from fifth to second place in the B Main to earn a transfer into the main event.

“In the B Main it started to get where it was two lanes and you could race,” he said. “(In the main event) I was just charging the whole time. I didn’t have anything to lose. I didn’t race with any regret. Honestly, I just went where they weren’t. You kind of have to when you start that far back.”

Bergman charged from 18th to fourth, which earned him the Hard Charger Award.

A similar draw on Saturday also lined Bergman up seventh in his heat race at Billings Motorsports Park.

“Sometimes the high draw can be a blessing if you get the right heat race and right circumstances,” he said. “The track was racy enough. That was probably the best heat race I’ve been in all year as far as the opportunity.”

Bergman maneuvered from seventh to third place, which gave him a position in the feature redraw. He then pulled the No. 5 in the random draw to line up on the inside of the third row for the main event.

“I was still fast, but I started up there,” he said. “I ran third most of the race. I pressured Jason (Johnson) for a while and ended up getting in a race with Aaron (Reutzel) for third.”

Bergman ended with his second straight fourth-place finish and his 13th top five of the season.

He will return to action with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour this Friday at Black Hills Speedway in Rapid City, S.D.
